Pentera Pricing in 2026: We Found the Public Endpoint Rate Card

Pentera does not publish a 2026 list price. The clearest public evidence I found is a UK G-Cloud reseller rate card that lists Pentera Core at £63,750 a year for up to 500 endpoints, £75,000 for 1,000, and £175,000 for 5,000, all before VAT. The rate card dates from 2024, prices support separately, and predates Pentera’s 2025 packaging changes.

Vendr’s public Pentera marketplace listing showed one negotiation, zero completed purchases, no average contract value, and no price range when I checked it. There is not enough completed-deal data to calculate a Vendr median.

Short answer: Pentera pricing is custom and usually sold as an annual subscription sized around the assets and product coverage in your order. A public 2024 rate card puts Pentera Core between £63,750 and £175,000 a year for 500 to 5,000 endpoints. In that document, a 10x increase in endpoints raises the Core price by only 2.75x, while the average cost falls from £127.50 to £35 per endpoint. RansomwareReady is priced at almost exactly 25% of Core at every tier.

Use that math to understand the model, not to forecast a final quote. The current Pentera product set can combine Core, Surface, Cloud, Resolve, Peer, bulk units, advisory work, and human testing in the same order.

How Much Does Pentera Cost in 2026?

Pentera costs are quote-based in 2026. Pentera’s own website describes the platform and routes buyers to a demo, but it publishes no current price, price calculator, or self-serve plan.

Here are the strongest planning anchors I could verify, ordered by how directly they connect to an actual purchase.

The $35,000-to-$100,000-plus estimates repeated across search results are plausible as broad enterprise planning ranges, but most are unsupported or trace back to very small samples. CostBench’s roughly $75,000 median comes from three buyer reports; Vendr does not currently publish a usable Pentera contract value. The public UK rate card below is more concrete because it names the SKUs, endpoint bands, annual prices, tax treatment, and support caveat.

The Public Pentera Rate Card Nobody Mentions

The document sits in the UK government’s G-Cloud 14 procurement archive. It was submitted by Cantium Business Solutions for “AI Penetration Testing” and lists six Pentera-related SKUs.

The source rate card is quite specific:

All prices exclude VAT. Support is listed as an additional, separately scoped cost, so the published SKU should not be compared with an implementation proposal until support is separated.

What the endpoint math reveals

The rate card is most useful for the shape of its volume curve.

  • Ten times the capacity costs 2.75 times as much. Going from 500 to 5,000 endpoints adds 900% more capacity while Core rises 174.5%.

  • The average endpoint price falls 72.5%. It drops from £127.50 at 500 endpoints to £35 at 5,000.

  • RansomwareReady was a 25% add-on. Each published RansomwareReady price is effectively one quarter of the matching Core price.

  • The first block carries the platform premium. Once that floor is paid, extra capacity becomes much cheaper on an average basis.

That explains why a single “Pentera price per endpoint” is misleading. A 500-endpoint buyer and a 5,000-endpoint buyer can have radically different unit economics even before modules, services, and discounts enter the quote.

What Changed in Pentera Pricing After 2025?

Pentera simplified its pricing in April 2025, according to a 2026 Frost Radar report hosted by Pentera. The change bundled some add-on modules and Security Validation Advisory services with core products, while adding bulk units and advisory upgrades.

That is why the 2024 rate card should not be treated as a 2026 menu. It shows the historical mechanics clearly, but today’s order form may combine capabilities that once appeared as separate SKUs.

Endpoint count alone will not predict a current quote. A Core-only order and an order that also covers external assets, cloud, remediation, advisory, or services can carry very different totals at the same endpoint count.

How Does the Pentera Pricing Model Work?

Pentera is generally priced as a prepaid subscription tied to licensed scope, not as a fee for each individual pentest. Your order form determines the assets, products, services, term, and support you can use.

These are the main pricing variables:

  • Internal estate size. Public Core SKUs use live and unique endpoints, making endpoint count the clearest visible meter.

  • External and cloud scope. Domains, internet-facing assets, and the cloud accounts, workloads, identities, and hybrid paths included in testing expand what Pentera must validate.

  • Products and bundles. Core, Surface, Cloud, Resolve, advisory services, and human-led testing can change the package.

  • Term and volume. Multi-year commitments, bulk units, and larger endpoint bands can lower the average unit cost.

  • Channel and services. A direct subscription, marketplace purchase, public-sector reseller, or managed service can present a different-looking unit and include different labor.

Pentera’s subscription agreement says fees are set in the order form, generally prepaid, non-refundable, and exclusive of applicable taxes. The signed order form sets the commercial terms.

What Does Pentera Pricing Include?

Pentera now presents a platform spanning internal, external, cloud, remediation, AI assistance, and human testing. The exact bundle is quote-dependent.

Pentera Core pricing and features

Pentera Core validates internal networks and Active Directory by safely executing attack chains. It tests credential exposure, privilege escalation, lateral movement, ransomware resilience, security controls, OWASP Top 10 issues, and CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities. Findings map to attack paths so teams can fix the root cause and retest.

Core is the only product for which I found a traditional public endpoint rate card. If your buying question is “How much does Pentera cost?”, start by getting the exact definition of a live, unique endpoint in your order.

Pentera Surface pricing and features

Pentera Surface covers the external attack surface. It validates internet-facing services, web applications, APIs, leaked credentials, phishing paths, and exploitable chains that can reach sensitive data. Pricing is not public.

Ask which domains, subsidiaries, dynamic cloud assets, and newly discovered exposures count against the licensed scope. External inventory changes faster than an endpoint list.

Pentera Cloud pricing and features

Pentera Cloud validates AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, and hybrid attack paths. It chains misconfigurations, identity weaknesses, workload compromise, privilege escalation, and data access into a view of what an attacker can actually achieve. Pricing is custom.

Cloud scope can be more complex than endpoint count because accounts, workloads, identities, regions, containers, and hybrid paths all move independently. Put the counting rules in writing.

Pentera Resolve, Peer, and advisory services

Pentera Resolve organizes remediation ownership, tickets, SLAs, and revalidation. It routes validated exposure to the responsible team and records whether a retest confirms the fix; the underlying change still happens in the system that owns the issue.

Pentera Peer is the AI-native interface across the platform. Security Validation Advisory adds experts for onboarding, program design, reviews, and enablement. Pentera also offers human adversarial testing services. These capabilities increase breadth, but they also make “the Pentera licence cost” an incomplete buying question.

Does Pentera Charge Per Test or Per Endpoint?

Pentera primarily sells licensed capacity and platform coverage, not one invoice per automated test. Public Core pricing is endpoint-banded, and subscription customers can run repeated validation between annual assessment cycles within the scope defined by their order.

That does not mean every run is economically unlimited in every contract. Your order can still define asset limits, product limits, service hours, environments, or usage units. Ask the seller to separate:

  • the meter that sets the subscription price;

  • the maximum licensed estate;

  • the testing cadence allowed inside that estate;

  • the human or advisory work that consumes separate hours or units.

“Continuous testing” describes the product capability, not the commercial limit. The contract may still cap assets, modules, service hours, environments, or usage units.

Does Pentera Offer a Free Trial?

Pentera’s current website routes evaluators to a demo rather than a public self-serve trial. Some resellers advertise short proofs of concept; one UK G-Cloud service listing offers a three-day PoC.

A demo, proof of value, and self-serve trial provide different levels of access. Before an evaluation starts, agree on the assets, credentials, attack paths, success criteria, report access, retest rights, and cleanup process.

A useful PoC should prove an attack path that the existing toolset could not already prioritize. The same evidence belongs in a broader pentesting-provider evaluation, alongside authorization, methodology, retesting, and reporting.

What Can Increase the Total Pentera Cost?

The subscription is one part of the budget. A quote review should also cover the following line items and operating costs.

Cost driver

Question to ask

Endpoint growth

What happens when we cross an endpoint band mid-term?

Surface and cloud expansion

How are domains, cloud accounts, workloads, subsidiaries, and dynamic assets counted?

Support

Which support level is included, and what is separately scoped?

Advisory and onboarding

Are Security Validation Advisory hours bundled, capped, or sold as upgrades?

Integrations and remediation

Are ticketing, reporting, SSO, API, and Resolve included in this package?

Human testing

Are Sector 11 or other adversarial testing services a separate statement of work?

Renewal

What price protection, true-up language, and notice period apply next year?

AWS buyers have another procurement option. Pentera became available through AWS Marketplace in 2026, which can let an organization align the purchase with committed cloud spend. That may help procurement even when it does not change the underlying licence.

Pentera vs CodeAnt AI Pricing

CodeAnt AI and Pentera use different pricing units because they cover different work. Pentera quotes the licensed estate, modules, and services. CodeAnt prices its development platform by user and its pentesting service by confirmed exploit outcome.

CodeAnt’s AI penetration testing page commits to a report within 48 hours, a zero-dollar engagement fee, payment only when a working PoC exploit ships, and free unlimited rescans. The code platform pricing is visible before a sales call.

CodeAnt does not cover every Pentera module. It is designed for risks in source code, pull requests, and deployed applications, while Pentera Core tests movement through internal networks and Active Directory. That boundary mirrors the practical division between code review and penetration testing: enterprises using both should assign each product a specific test surface.

The scope difference is clearer in a direct Pentera and CodeAnt comparison. It also explains why Pentera alternatives range from infrastructure validation platforms to application-focused pentesting services rather than forming one interchangeable category.

Questions to Ask Before You Accept a Pentera Quote

The quote should answer the following questions in writing.

  1. What exact asset types set our price, and how is each one counted?

  2. Which Pentera products, add-ons, and advisory services are included?

  3. What happens when endpoint, domain, or cloud scope grows during the term?

  4. Are support, onboarding, integrations, and remediation workflows included?

  5. Can we run and rerun validation whenever we want inside the licensed scope?

  6. What proof-of-value result must Pentera demonstrate before signature?

  7. What are the renewal cap, true-up rules, payment terms, and notice period?

  8. Can marketplace or committed-spend procurement reduce budget friction?

Also calculate cost per protected endpoint at your expected year-three size, not only today’s size. The public curve suggests scale can improve the average dramatically, but only if the contract bands and asset definitions match your growth.

Is Pentera Worth It in 2026?

Pentera can be worth the price for a large enterprise that needs repeatable proof across internal networks, Active Directory, external assets, cloud environments, and security controls. The volume curve is most favorable when a team can use the platform across thousands of endpoints and has people ready to remediate what it proves.

It is harder to justify for a small estate, an occasional compliance test, or a team whose main risk lives in application code and pull requests. At 500 endpoints, the public Core rate works out to £127.50 per endpoint before the ransomware add-on, support, tax, or current bundle changes. That is a platform decision, not a scanner impulse buy.

Penetration testing cost data shows how scope, methodology, test frequency, and retesting can move the budget as much as the vendor name.

How to Use Pentera’s Public Pricing Data

Pentera’s current price remains private, but the public evidence is no longer a blank page. A real reseller rate card shows £63,750 to £175,000 a year for Pentera Core, a steep volume discount, and a historical ransomware add-on priced at one quarter of Core.

Use the 2024 document to understand the pricing meter and volume curve, then ask Pentera to define the current asset count, bundle, support line, services, and validated test surface in the 2026 proposal.

Pentera Core is relevant when the buying question concerns movement through internal infrastructure. CodeAnt’s pentesting service targets exploitable issues in code and deployed applications and charges when it produces a working proof-of-concept. Budget the products against those separate scopes.
